Job Purpose: Promotes Catholic Identity and nurtures the education of students by planning and tailoring courses of study; monitoring, assisting with, and correcting, academic efforts; providing a safe environment conducive to learning.

Duties:

  • Model and demonstrate Catholic teachings at all school sponsored events.
  • Educates students by planning and developing course of study according to curriculum guidelines; provided by the school and state requirements.
  • Tailors course of study by developing modifications for several levels of academic ability based off of student needs.
  • Develops and presents lesson plans by using a variety of techniques, including lectures, projects, exhibits, field trips, audiovisual and library resources, computers, and the internet.
  • Monitors, assists, correct, and grades student results by preparing assignments and tests for in-school preparation and homework; conducting standardized tests in accordance with school policies d state law.
  • Maintains order in the classroom by counseling students with behavioral problems; consulting with other professionals where there appears to be evidence of learning disabilities, drug, or alcohol abuse, problems of social adjustment, or child abuse.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy educational environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Intercepts deterioration in achievement by consulting counselor when student is having academic difficulties; drawing on the school system's resources for additional academic assistance.
  • Keeps parents informed by maintaining records of academic performance, attendance, and social acclimation; reporting on all elements of student development at parent-teacher conferences, both regularly scheduled and as-needed.
  • Provide student support services by monitoring halls, study periods, lunchroom, and recess; sponsoring student organizations or activities.
  • Updates job knowledge by attending faculty meetings; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances school's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned by the principal

Head Dance Coach, Head Cross Country Coach, Head Boys Track, Head Girls Track, Head Softball Coach
JOB SUMMARY: the head coach is responsible for planning, directing, and leading an education-based athletic program that seeks to develop athletes of empathy and integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must meet the head coaching requirements of the IHSAA.
  2. Must obtain Virtus Training, background check, and coach accreditation.
  3. Experience with an education-based athletic program.
  4. Playing and/or coaching experience preferred.

REPORTS TO: High School Athletic Director

JOB GOALS: To accept responsibility of the program and work with the students/athletes in the sport assigned and to provide life lessons that will positively impact the physical, social, and emotional well-being of all who are involved.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITES

  1. Accept and follow the co-curricular philosophy of the school.
  2. Follows the rules and regulations of the school, the conference, and the IHSAA.
  3. Attend the rules interpretation meeting held by the IHSAA.
  4. Maintain a membership in the appropriate coaches association and participate so that our school has representation.
  5. Attend clinics, seminars, and in-service programs in order to improve coaching skills and to stay current with new trends in coaching, training, conditioning, and safety procedures.
  6. Attend school, conference and section meetings.

Part-Time Maintenance Team Member
Bishop Noll Institute in Hammond is looking to hire a part-time maintenance worker (approx. 25 hours a week) to start July 2, 2018. Candidate must be a team player and a self-starter committed to keeping our school facilities clean, functional and welcoming for our students and guests. Duties include, but are not limited to, cleaning, regular maintenance, event set-up, lifting and moving of objects and general “handy” duties. The ideal candidate would be able to accomplish minor repair work and have knowledge of electrical, HVAC and plumbing.
