Schererville’s newest hotel, Staybridge Suites, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 13 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Amy Chomko, director of sales for Staybridge Suites Schererville, said that the ribbon-cutting ceremony will have an “open house feel.” Guests will be able to tour the hotel, enjoy live entertainment, food and beverages, and have the opportunity to win a door prize or raffle drawing.
The hotel, located at the intersection of US Highways 30 and 41 in Schererville, caters to extended stay clients, as well as overnight guests. Among the amenities that appeal to long-term guests are fully equipped kitchens in every guest room, a nine-seat theater room for movies or games, a pool and fitness room, and complimentary use of the laundry facilities. Guests can also enjoy an outdoor entertainment area, complete with comfortable seating, a fire pit and barbecue grills.
“Staybridge Suites is built to feel like home,” said Chomko. “Some guests stay as long as six months at a time. We (the staff) become a second family for them and other guests become their neighbors.”
To foster the home-like feeling of the hotel, Staybridge Suites offers guests the opportunity to mingle at The Social, held every Tuesday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy a complimentary light dinner, as well as beer and wine, while socializing with their “neighbors.” In addition to The Social, Staybridge Suites provides a complimentary full, hot breakfast seven days a week.
