Crossroads Regional Chamber Looking to #RockTheRegion this Fall

Crossdroads-Chamber-StaffThe Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce is looking to #RocktheRegion this fall with their annual membership drive!

Each year, the chamber hosts a campaign with the goal of increasing their membership and voice in Northwest Indiana. This year's #RocktheRegion campaign came as an idea that was initiated by chamber member Barb Young, owner of Barbara Jean's Gifts & Gourmet, who used the phrase on a Facebook post.

The #RocktheRegion campaign has seen a series of posts, newsletters, videos and other media that share why members love being part of the Crossroads Regional Chamber. These testimonials are being produced from a wide variety of businesses and organizations like Tradewinds Services, Radisson Star Plaza, and Centier Bank, each sharing how the Crossroads Regional Chamber “rocked” their organization in some manner.

Chamber members have formed teams with recruiting captains who setting up their own ideas for the campaign, developing team names based on fun ideas like rock bands, football teams and more for the drive. The teams’ efforts will culminate with a two-day drive that will end with the chamber acquiring at least 100 new members on September 17 and 18th.

crossroads-chamber-testimonial-centier"As a regional Chamber of Commerce we have been able to develop a network of businesses, organizations, and individuals that spans over 50 communities. With a reach so large it is our role as the Chamber to be advocates for those entities and the Region’s economic growth," explained Tristen Comegys, Membership Director. "Our upcoming “Rock the Region” membership campaign is more than about attracting new members, it is about telling our stories and what we are doing to improve and sustain the communities we serve.

"The initiatives that we have supported and created have literally rocked the Region and we are excited to tell those stories," she continued.

Reed also shared how businesses and nonprofits of all sizes can benefit from being members of the Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce.

“There are a multitude of reasons why a small business should join the Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce,” explained Reed. “We are the largest chamber in Lake County, 630 member businesses with over 1,400 representatives. We are truly a voice for the small business community and as Lake County’s largest chamber, we have a much larger voice when we come to city hall.”

Reed also cited the networking component the Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce offers, with several events held each month that bring businesses and organization across the spectrum together.

“Certain types of businesses need that networking component, to grow, and at any one of our luncheons, you’re going to see at least 120 other organizations represented,” said Reed.
