McShane’s Vendor Expo 2018 Provides Hands On Experience, Unveils New Name

Free food, high-tech office equipment, and the chance to win Chicago Bears tickets. How could it get any better?! Pulse Technology, formerly known as Kramer Leonard McShane's, treated clients to a fun, hands-on experience at the company’s vendor expo today. This is the second expo Kramer Leonard McShane’s has had this year.

“The first was to just get people to see the technology we offer,” said Chip Miceli, CEO of Pulse Technology. “Today, people can get special expo pricing and learn more about the extended product lines we are now offering. We’re also unveiling our new Lorell Diamond Showroom and beginning to introduce the public to our new name: Pulse Technology.”

With the new showroom, attendees were able to test the company’s furniture line and compare models in real-time.

“We have everything from breakroom snacks to janitorial supplies, as well as your everyday office supply needs. We're showing off state of the art business solutions including document systems, interactive boards, computers, and voiceover IP phones. It's an exciting time at Pulse Technology! We’re expecting about 75-100 people today,” Miceli said.

Guests were able to meet with representatives from eight companies from a variety of different industries and see what they had to offer.

“We’re here to show their customers that they have other product offerings besides office supplies. They have break room supplies and snacks as well,” Jessica Dedow with Kind Snacks said.

“Everyone is looking for single source procurement instead of buying their office supplies and technology from multiple distributors,” Bill Himes, Strategic Account Manager for SP Richard said. “We’re here to showcase everything that Pulse Technology is now offering, which is a total business solution.”

Aside from just promoting SP Richards’ electronic products, Himes also wants to remind attendees the importance of supporting family owned businesses like Pulse Technology.

“Personal relationships are one of the top competitive advantages that the independent dealers like Pulse Technology have. When you order you order a dispenser from Sam’s Club or Amazon and it breaks, who do you call? You just buy a new one and you hang it yourself. Versus here, you get that personal service from a family-owned company,” Himes said.

Combining forces between McShane's (1921), Kramer Leonard (1987), and Des Plaines Office Equipment (1955), the Pulse Technology Group offers their decades of expertise in providing high-quality copiers/printers, technology solutions, office furniture and supplies to companies throughout Northwest Indiana and the Greater Chicagoland Area. The three family owned businesses have come together and now evolved to Northwest Indiana’s largest office technology and product supplier.
